Account Setup

Setting up your TractionDesk account properly is essential for getting the most out of the platform's AI capabilities. During the account setup process, you'll provide information about your business that helps the AI understand your context, audience, and goals. This information is stored securely in your organization's knowledge base and used by the Voice AI Agent and campaign orchestration system to make intelligent, personalized recommendations.

Organization Profile

Your organization profile includes basic information like your company name, website URL, industry, and business type (B2B, B2C, etc.). TractionDesk automatically scrapes your website to extract your brand logo, color scheme, and key messaging, which it uses when generating branded content. You can review and edit this extracted information in Settings → Organization to ensure accuracy. The AI also asks about your primary business goals during onboarding—whether you're focused on lead generation, brand awareness, revenue growth, or customer retention—and uses these goals to guide campaign strategy and content recommendations.

Your account can be linked to a team organization if you're working with multiple users. Each user gets their own seat (based on your plan tier), and team members can share presets, campaigns, and generated content. Organization owners can manage team permissions, view usage across all members, and control which integrations are available. If you're on a higher-tier plan (Pro, Plus, or Enterprise), you'll have additional team collaboration features like shared brand assets and centralized billing.

Brand Preferences and Presets

Presets are reusable templates that define how your content should look and sound. Image presets contain visual style guidelines (color palettes, composition rules, subject matter), while copy presets define your brand's voice, tone, and messaging frameworks. During account setup, we recommend creating at least one preset for each content type you plan to generate regularly. These presets ensure consistency across all AI-generated content and dramatically speed up future generation—instead of describing your brand from scratch each time, you just reference a preset.

To create presets, navigate to the respective sections (Images, Copy, Videos) and click "New Preset." Give your preset a descriptive name, add detailed instructions about style and format, and save it. The more specific you are in your preset instructions, the better the AI will perform. For example, instead of "professional tone," write "friendly but authoritative tone, using active voice and addressing the reader directly." You can create multiple presets for different use cases (social media vs blog posts, product ads vs thought leadership, etc.) and switch between them effortlessly.

Credits and Usage

TractionDesk uses a credit-based system to track AI usage. Different operations consume different amounts of credits: images cost 5 credits, videos cost 20 credits, copy costs 2 credits, and research costs 10 credits. Your plan includes a monthly credit allocation that resets at the start of each billing cycle. You can view your current credit balance and usage history in Settings → Billing. If you run low on credits mid-month, you can purchase one-time credit packs that stack with your monthly allocation.

Understanding credit consumption helps you budget for your content needs. For example, if you run a campaign that generates 5 images, 2 videos, and 10 pieces of copy, that campaign will consume 25 + 40 + 20 = 85 credits total. Most users find that their plan's included credits are sufficient for regular use, but high-volume periods (like product launches or seasonal campaigns) may require additional packs. The platform shows credit costs before generation so you're never surprised by consumption.
