Quick Start Guide
Get up and running with TractionDesk in under 10 minutes
Quick Start Guide
This guide will help you get started with TractionDesk quickly. You'll learn how to set up your account, connect your first integration, and use the Voice AI Agent to create your first piece of content—all in under 10 minutes.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Visit TractionDesk and click "Sign up" to create your account. You can sign up using your email address or connect with Google for faster access. Once you've verified your email, you'll be taken through a brief onboarding flow that helps us understand your business. This includes questions about your company type, website URL, target audience, and marketing goals. Don't worry—you can always update this information later in your account settings.
During onboarding, TractionDesk automatically analyzes your website to extract your brand colors, logo, and tone of voice. This information is stored in your organization's knowledge base (called the RAG vector store) and helps the AI create content that matches your brand from day one. The more information you provide during setup, the more personalized and accurate the AI's recommendations will be.
Step 2: Connect Your First Integration
After onboarding, navigate to Settings → Integrations to connect your business tools. We recommend starting with Google Analytics if you have a website—this gives TractionDesk access to your traffic data and helps the AI make smarter recommendations about content and campaigns. Simply click "Connect" next to Google Analytics, authorize access through Google's OAuth flow, and you'll see your analytics data appear in the Insights section within seconds.
If you use a CRM like HubSpot, connecting it early is valuable because the Voice AI Agent can then answer questions about your contacts, create targeted campaigns, and even enrich contact records automatically. For email marketing, connect Gmail to enable the AI to send outreach emails on your behalf. Each integration takes less than a minute to set up and dramatically expands what TractionDesk can do for you. You can always add more integrations later as your needs grow.
Step 3: Generate Your First Content with Voice
Now for the fun part—let's use the Voice AI Agent to create something. Click the "Voice Agents" link in the sidebar, then click the microphone button to start a voice session. When the interface shows "Listening," try saying: "Create an image for a social media post about [your product or service]." The AI will confirm what you want to create, and if you say "yes" or "confirm," it will generate a professional image using DALL-E in about 10-15 seconds.
You can also try text-based commands by typing in the message box. For example, type "Generate a catchy LinkedIn post about productivity tips" and the AI will create engaging copy you can use immediately. The beauty of TractionDesk is that you don't need to learn specific commands or syntax—just talk naturally about what you need, and the AI figures out how to help. Try creating a few different types of content (images, copy, or even a short video) to get a feel for the platform's capabilities.
Step 4: Explore Features
Once you're comfortable with basic content generation, explore the other features. Try creating a campaign by saying "Create a campaign for my next product launch" and watch as the AI suggests research steps, content deliverables, and a complete execution plan. Check out the Schedule Manager to automate content creation at specific times. Browse your existing presets and prompts (pre-configured templates for images and copy) to speed up future generation. And explore the Insights dashboard to see how your website and business metrics are trending.
The Voice AI Agent is always available in the bottom-right corner as a widget—you can summon it anytime by clicking the icon or pressing a keyboard shortcut. Don't hesitate to ask it questions like "What can you do?" or "Help me understand campaigns." The AI is designed to be conversational and will guide you through any feature you're curious about.
